How It Works

Step 1

Please send us your demo. This can consist of just a vocal track accompanied by an acoustic guitar, serving as a guide to understanding the song's structure and harmonic arrangement. Additionally, provide any references that align with the direction you envision or a detailed description of the sound you're aiming for.

Step 2

Upon receiving your demo, we'll thoroughly review it and reach out if any clarifications are needed. At this stage, we will also discuss key, tempo, arrangement, and dynamics to make sure we are on the same page creatively and sonically.

Step 3

After establishing a clear understanding of the project's direction, we'll provide you with a precise quote. To initiate charting and tracking, half of the payment is required upfront, serving to cover overhead costs for musicians. This upfront payment is non-refundable.

Step 4

Upon receiving the initial payment, we kickstart the process. Your song will be meticulously charted out, and a team will be assembled based on their musical suitability for your project. After recording all the tracks, we'll send you a preliminary rough mix for your review and approval. Once the rough mix meets your satisfaction, we'll proceed with the final steps. Full payment is required before delivering stems, or if desired, we can handle additional tasks like vocal tuning, mixing, and mastering.

From Our Clients Artists & Producers

“I’ve had the privilege of working with Nicky for several years now, and he’s never missed the mark. Nicky leads with musicality, versatility, and quality. He has been extremely accommodating, no matter what I’ve thrown at him over the years. Aside from his incredible musical talents and top-of-the-line gear, he is also a true professional who is easy to communicate with. And of course— whether it’s deliverables or to the click, Nicky is always on time.”

— Rafi Barides

“I have two goals when creating a new song - produce a recording that meets the high, and often complicated, standards of the recording industry and have fun doing it. Nicky Hines makes this possible. With Nicky you get a world-class musician and his incredible understanding and perceptions of the soundscape. You get the artist and the scientist at the same time. You also get to work with a great person. This is why I have asked Nicky to direct, produce, and engineer 22 of my songs with more to follow!”

— Gary McMahon.

“I’ve worked remotely with Nicky for over two years now, recording two albums in that time. For me, Nicky is the ultimate professional. He is an immensely talented musician and producer, and he has always been very generous with his contributions to my projects. Nicky’s guitar parts always bring my music to life and his work has formed a massive chunk of my overall sound. Over and above all this, he is a great guy to work with and I’m delighted with everything we’ve achieved together so far. He’s the best in the business”

— Tom McLoughlin.

“I have been working with Nicky V on various studio projects for the last 5 years or so. Time after time his execution and creative inputs have catapulted my projects into territory that I couldn’t imagine in my wildest dreams. Nicky is a true professional with an incredible work ethic, and I cannot recommend him enough as a player, producer, and person.”

— Chelsey Carter.

“Nicky has an ability to listen to my ideas and take them in new directions, allowing me to hear exactly my song but somehow also more than my song. Since finding him a few years ago, I have never worked with anyone else, and will keep it that way as long as he is willing. I needed a session player; I found a partner and collaborator.”
